Some impulse decisions I've made in the last six months:
- Drove to California by myself with no plans
- I think this was a good decision. It wasn't smart to drive through the night by myself, but it was the coolest part of the day to be driving through Nevada, so maybe it was safer that way. I didn't book a hotel and my car charger burned my phone battery on the way there, so I couldn't find anywhere affordable to stay. I ended up getting to Malibu in the morning, spending the day hanging out there and in the surrounding area, and then napping at a gas station in the evening and driving back to Provo that night. While I was in California I went to the beach but spent most of the day visiting my mission. It was a weird and cathartic trip that I think needed to happen.
- Quit my job
- I think this was a dumb decision, but one that I can't bring myself to regret. I really should have kept working this semester instead of living off of savings, but I hated that job so bad.
- Had my friend cut my hair off
- Positive, fun. There are some long chunks in my hair, but overall I think it looks pretty good. Plus it was just really fun to do.
- Moved out by myself with no roommates
- One of the best decisions I have ever made.
- Got a dog
- My parents think this was such a bad decision, but I'm so happy with my dog. I don't have a single regret about getting him.
- Went platinum
- I'm still getting used to this one.
Haha man there have been so many times during my college career when I've been this close to getting a dog. I just think it would be too much of a hassle for me and my roommates but good for you! dogs are the best.
