Building an Agility Course

I just got a dog last month, and he's already consumed almost all of my time and money. I'm constantly Googling things about which dog food to get, or how to get him interested in toys. He came from a shelter, and I'm worried that the reason he sleeps all day is he is depressed and doesn't know how to play. He's very smart and he loves going on walks, so I decided to make an indoor agility course so he can get some extra exercise during the winter.

I was going to buy a little kit on Amazon, but the only one I could afford was so flimsy it wasn't worth the money. I decided to head to Lowes and buy some PVC pipe to make my own. I got materials to make two regulation-sized jumps and a set of six weave poles. I want to get a tunnel for my dog to run through, so I'll probably go to Toys R Us or something, I've heard kids stores are the cheapest place to buy those.

Building this course has been a lot of fun for me. When I first went to Lowes, I felt kind of lost and like I didn't know what I needed to get. The guy who helped me was really nice, and after I absorbed everything he told me I felt really confident going to other supply stores to get the rest of the parts I needed. I talk all cool like a construction guy now, and I even bought a saw! It's called the Tiny Tim because it's basically child-size, but I still love it and use it to open food bags and stuff, just to practice.
